Fiddler's Dream provides a real listening room environment for the true enjoyment of many styles of music and many exceptional performers.  Patrons and performers need to be aware that alcohol or illegal substances aren't welcome or allowed on the grounds.  The Fiddler's Dream Coffee House is rented from the Society of Friends (Quaker) Meeting House and their wishes need to be respected.  The music ranges from original music from great singer/songwriters to Americana, as well as Bluegrass, Southern Blues, Chicago Blues, Flamenco Guitar, and autoharp or cello, viola or Celtic Harp.  All are presented in a quiet, concert style venue where the audience really listens.  Fiddler's Dream offers a small, intimate showcase and is a true listening room.  The location can be hard to find especially at night.  Take State Road 51 to the Glendale Avenue exit.  At this exit, turn west and go 1/4 mile and you will see a church building on your right.  Turn right at this street (17th Street) and go north about 1 block to Cactus Wren.  Then turn right and then turn into the parking lot.  You will see the Quaker Meeting House and Fiddler's Dream is the small building on the north side of the parking lot.

Unscripted performances are often based on audience suggestions. Each person’s playing style is determined very early in their improv training. Improvisers driven by intellect use their mind to come up with smart and clever retorts in a scene. Emotion-based performers will often respond with “when you say that it makes me feel…” to show how their scene partner’s response affects them. Someone who loves a strong character will often have outlandish voices or shift their body to fully envelope the character they portray.  Check their website for details on the theme, dates, and who is performing.

Fisher Theatre could be a welcome interlude to your vacation at Anasazi Village.
